New Years Gathering 2011

Come Join us on Friday JANUARY 21, 2011. Our Theme: is Snow people, we are going to The Velvet Cafe on 01/21. We will be doing New Member Induction on that day of our newest member Lady Patriot.

We will meet at 11:00 am at our parking place to carpool to the Restaurant.

Reservations are required by January 17, 2011.

Red Hats Hens and Chicks Chapter Luncheon

We are having our Chapter Christmas Luncheon on December 17, at 12 pm at Always Ron's Restaurant located in Hagerstown, MD. Reservations are required by 12/13. All members are being asked to bring a Ornament Gift Wrapped (capped at $5.00) for exchange.

October Fall Gathering

Attn: All Members, Guests & Friends,

It's time to get all prettied up in your finest clothes and your silliest hair do and come out to our to October Halloween Gathering/PJ Party! We normally have our PJ party in October, so we are combining the two together this year.

Surprise us.

We will have prizes for the "Cutiest, Silliest, and the Most Orginal." Bring your favorite childhood candy for Show/Share with your Red Hat Sisters. Come, and have some fun.

Welcome to our October Luncheon

We are having a Halloween Luncheon, and asking all our members and guests to dress up for the occasion. We will honoring prizes for the "Cutiest," the Funniest, and the Most Sillest."

Every member or guest is being asked to bring a bag of their favorite candy they had as a child for share and tell. Each member will go home with assorted bags of candy.

Next Red Hat Gathering

Join us for our August Gathering, we are off to Country Diner in Clear Spring, MD.
Our theme this month is "bubble day." So, remember when you were a child and you spend hours blowing bubbles, well....become a kid again, bring your bubbles and join us.

We will carpool to Clear Spring, meet at Martins Shopping Center at 11 am.

Special Gathering on October 13

We are planning a special gathering for October 13, 2010 up at Gettysburg at Hickory Bridge Farm. Luncheon starts at 12 pm we will carpool from Martin's Shopping Center Route#40 be there at 10:30 am and we will carpool up. cost is $14.95 per person, must send me a check for this amount. Fall Red hat Party 2010

Hickory Bridge Farm is hosting a Fall Red Hat Party 2010 in October.
The dates available to attend is Oct 12, 13, 26, 27, 28.

Our Chapter was attempting to try October 13, which is a Wednesday.

The restaurant is located in Gettsburg, Pa.

We will carpool up, the Luncheon is at 12 pm. Cost is $14.95 per person and includes gratutity and tip.

Need to know how many are interested in attending and payment is required at time of reservation.

August Gathering

August brings dog days of Summer. Most red hat beauties are heading to the beaches.

August 20 - Lunch/movie at Valley mall, we are headed out to see the Cat & Dog movie, so join us.

Our Red Hat Group is having our Chapter Picnic on August 27, join us for some ellowship and fun. REserve by 08/18. We are having a Bubbles contest, so bring some bubbles with you, and a wrapped gift (something useful for a woman, at $1.00 value for Bingo prize.

Join us ( Our Chapter) for our Crazy Hat Day on July 23, 2010 at Cracker Barrel Restaurant located off Sharpsburg Pike at 12 pm. Reserve with Queen Teresa by July 16 or 17.

06 - Brunch 9:30 am at Ihop Pancake House located on Garland Grohl Blvd. Join us for some coffee and fellowship.

20 - Lunch at 12 pm at Country Diner in Clear Spring, MD. We will meet at 11:15 and carpool up from Penny's Parking Lot in Valley Mall.

Over 50's Red Hat Club

Our Chapter is having a Chapter Picnic coming up the end of this month. We invited (2) other Chapters to join us. Only one Queen from one of the other Chapter's is joining us.

Picnic is scheduled for June 25, from 12 -3 pm

We will have foods to eat, as all members are bringing a dish to share. We will enjoy the afternoon together. Come to our play ground of fun. We will play Bingo, and Guess Who the Baby Is? Get our faces Painted, make a hens bracelet, get our pictures taken, eat some more and go home happy.

Join our Christian Sisterhood

Have you ever thought about joining a Red Hat Group? Way before I even turned the age of 50, I wanted to join one. They had so much fun, and I needed to have some fun.

Out of something bad...something good came.... my new chapter, Hens and Chicks.

In April 2007, Hens and Chicks Chapter was created. This day, I still have (3) of the same members with me (2010). They are Lady Jean, Lady JoAnne, and Lady Laura. We are still doing the chicken dance, and going strong.

Today, we are going strong, we are still registered with Red Hat Society. We have (10) paid members. I finally have the best of Vice Queen's Rita. She's my best friend. Our Members are not Supporting Members of the RHS, but they are supporting members of our Chapter.

This past April we celebrated our "Third Anniversary." We had our luncheon at Mountain Gate Restaurant located in Waynesboro, Pa.

I've always wanted to have a Praises page on our Website, maybe I can have that here on our Blog.

And, I want to speak with our Chaplain ( Lady Butterfly) and maybe she will submit some info for her page here on the Chapter Blog.

We are so thankful for the fine members we now have.

Membership

Welcome to our Sisterhood! We are the Hens and Chicks Chapter. We are registered with the Red Hats Society Chapter #53698. We have a Queen named Teresa (Queen Blabalot) and a Vice Queen named Rita ( Vice Queen of Cheer) and we presently have 10 active members.

We get together once a month, have a meal, share fun, friendship and fellowship with one another. Each month we have a theme, and we try to do something to connect with the seasons or a special event.

Requirements for Membership

• Must be between the ages of 19 and 49 to become a Pink Hatter.
• Must be age 50 and up to become a Red Hatter.

What does Red or Pink Hatter mean?

• Pink Hatter must wear lavender clothing, and wear a pink hat.
• Red Hatter must wear purple clothing, and wear a red hat.

Does it cost to belong to your chapter?

• Yes, for new members cost is $11.50 to belong to our Local Chapter.
• If you are a seasoned member cost is $7.50 per year.

Red Hat Society requires Chapter Dues from the Queens, and now Supporting Membership Dues.

• Our Chapter pays dues for the year of $39.00
• RHS is now charged $20 per member to become a Supporting Member.
• It is optional to pay the SM dues.
